Position: RECEIVING SUPERVISOR
This role reports directly to the RECEIVING MANAGER
Site Location: CLAIRWOOD KZN (COLD STORAGE)
The Suitable candidate will meet the criteria below;
Key Performance Areas:
- Team Leadership & Coordination
Plan, coordinate, and supervise receiving personnel; allocate tasks effectively, monitor productivity, and ensure adherence to operational standards. - Receiving & Stock Control
Oversee the accurate receipt, verification, staging, and GRV processing of all inbound goods in line with company procedures and system requirements. - Quality Assurance
Inspect incoming stock to identify damages, shortages, variances, or incorrect items, ensuring prompt recording and corrective action. - Health, Safety & Compliance
Enforce health and safety regulations, housekeeping standards, and compliance with company policies within the receiving area. - Operational Reporting
Compile and submit daily receiving reports, including variances, delays, and performance metrics, to relevant management. - Issue Resolution & Escalation
Investigate receiving discrepancies, coordinate corrective actions with relevant departments, and escalate unresolved issues in a timely manner.

Exhibits good timekeeping practices and enforces staff discipline in accordance with company policies and procedures.
Technical competency requirements:
- Computer Literacy
Demonstrates proficiency in basic computer applications and systems used in receiving operations, including email, spreadsheets, and warehouse systems. - Receiving SOP Knowledge
Possesses a clear understanding of receiving standard operating procedures (SOPs), controls, and documentation requirements. - Warehouse Management Systems (WMS) & Scanning
Competent in the use of WMS and scanning technology to accurately receive, record, and track inbound stock. - Quality & Compliance Verification
Able to conduct quality checks and compliance inspections to ensure received goods meet company, safety, and audit standards.
Minimum Requirements:
- Matric / Grade 12
- 3-5 years warehouse receiving and warehouse experience
- At least 3 years leadership experience
- Relevant logistics/warehouse qualification (advantage)
ENVIRONMENTAL OR OTHER CONDITIONS:
- Cold storage environment
- Weekend and after-hours work may be required based on operational needs
