Position: HR GENERALIST

This role reports directly: HR Executive

Location: VERICON HEAD OFFICE, SANDTON, GAUTENG

 

The Suitable candidate will meet the criteria below;

Technical competency requirements:

  • Experience with HRIS systems and data reporting
  • Strong knowledge of labour legislation and HR best practices
  • Understanding of Employment Equity and BBBEE compliance
  • Ability to manage HR administration and reporting

 

Key Performance Areas:

 

Recruitment & Onboarding

  • Coordinate end-to-end recruitment processes.
  • Prepare job descriptions and post vacancies.
  • Conduct interviews and facilitate candidate selection.
  • Manage onboarding and orientation programs.

 

Employee Relations

  • Serve as a point of contact for employee queries and concerns.
  • Support conflict resolution and disciplinary processes.
  • Promote a positive and inclusive work environment.

 

Performance Management

  • Assist in implementing performance appraisal systems.
  • Support managers in setting KPIs and conducting reviews.
  • Track and report on performance trends.

 

Training & Development

  • Identify training needs and coordinate learning initiatives.
  • Maintain training records and evaluate effectiveness.
  • Support career development planning.

 

HR Administration

  • Maintain accurate employee records and HR databases.
  • Prepare HR reports and analytics.
  • Ensure compliance with labour laws and company policies.

 

Policy & Compliance

  • Assist in developing and updating HR policies.
  • Ensure adherence to legal and regulatory requirements.
  • Support audits and internal reviews.

 

Employment Equity (EE)

  • Maintain and update the company’s EE database.
  • Assist in preparing and submitting EE reports to the Department of Labour.
  • Support the coordination of EE Committee meetings and track progress against the EE Plan.
  • Promote awareness of EE objectives throughout the organisation.

 

BBBEE Compliance

  • Maintain accurate records for all BBBEE elements, including Employment Equity, Skills Development, and Preferential Procurement (where applicable).
  • Support the HR in gathering and compiling BBBEE verification documentation.
  • Contribute to the implementation of initiatives that improve the organisation’s BBBEE scorecard.

 

Minimum Requirements:

  • Matric / Grade 12
  • 3–5 years’ experience in a generalist HR role
  • Relevant HR qualification
  • Own transport with Code 8 (B) license

 

ENVIRONMENTAL OR OTHER CONDITIONS:

Weekend work and after hours work in an operational position might be required.

Appointments shall be in line with the Company’s Employment Equity Policy.
