Position: Senior Recruitment Officer
This role reports directly: HR Executive
Site Location: Head Office
Key Knowledge and Skills:
- In depth knowledge of end-to-end recruitment process
- Sound understanding of core HR functions (recruitment, training, payroll & benefits).
- Understanding of South African labour law legislation and disciplinary procedures.
- High confidentiality ability
- Proficiency in MS Office; MS Excel is critical
- Excellent organizational and time-management skills.
- Strong communication and interpersonal abilities.
- Problem-solving and decision-making ability
- High ethical standards and reliability
- Strong attention to detail and administrative accuracy
Key Performance Areas:
Recruitment and Onboarding:
- Manage the full recruitment lifecycle for operational, administrative and specialist roles
- Create and maintain a talent pool database per clients requirements.
- Liase with hiring managers to prepare job descriptions and post job advertisements.
- Conduct assessments, interviews and relevant checks when selecting candidates.
- Assisting candidates with onboarding packs, contracts and issuing of uniform
- Ensuring timeous submissions of onboarding packs to HR & payroll
- Drive efficiency and continuous improvement in recruitment and onboarding processes
Employee Relations:
- Advise management and the business on HR policies and standard operating procedures.
- Address employee grievances and disciplinary issues.
- Promote a positive and open work environment.
Training and Development:
- Develop and implement training programs.
- Assist in performance management processes.
- Assist with training and inducting new candidates
HR Administration:
- Maintain employee records and ensure legal compliance.
- Assist with Benefits administration
- Weekly/Monthly reporting
Policy Implementation:
- Support the development and implementation of HR initiatives and systems.
- Ensure adherence to relevant South African labour laws and company policies.
Minimum Requirements:
- Matric /Grade 12
- Relevant qualification in HR, Industrial Psychology or related field (advantageous)
- Proven work experience in Human Resources or similar role.
- Understanding of general human resources policies and procedures
- Good knowledge of employment/labour laws
- Outstanding knowledge of MS Office: MS Excel is critical
- Excellent communication and people skills
- Aptitude in problem-solving
ENVIRONMENTAL OR OTHER CONDITIONS:
Weekend work and after hours work in an operational position might be required.
Appointments shall be in line with the Company’s Employment Equity Policy.
