Position: Shift Manager
Location: Shoprite DC Basson, Cape Town
This role reports directly: Services Manager
The Suitable candidate will meet the criteria below;

- Experience working on WMS

Key Performance Areas:
Excellent communications & relationship building skills
Managing of staff and client needs
Feedback to clients daily with regards to delivery and order status
Work strictly according to company policies and procedures
Control direct expenses and temp manpower
Macro managing of the operational departments
Assist with Industrial relations & Recruitment
Ensure all deadlines are met with regards to customer and client demands
Ability to manage a plan weekly fleet of collections, deliveries and volume output
Daily Communication/meetings with staff
Must have experience within the commercial industry warehousing and inventory
Monitor and plan accordingly on production and receiving schedules
Quality and accuracy inspections of picking and packing of relevant products
Ensure compliance to customer order requirements and spec’s
Compliance and execution to all safety rule and regulation
Monitor and manage shift patterns and punctuality
Should have financial understanding based on budgets, forecasts, wages and invoicing
Compiling of daily, weekly and monthly reports
Compliance to operational KPI’s site specific
Minimum Requirements:
- Matric /Grade 12
- Computer literate: MS package
- Minimum 5 years’ warehouse / logistics’ and inventory management experience
- Relevant qualifications for warehouse management as well as Six Sigma and SHERQ.
- 3 Years retail experience
- Own transport with Code 8 (B) license
ENVIRONMENTAL OR OTHER CONDITIONS:
Weekend work and after hours work in an operational position might be required.
Appointments shall be in line with the Company’s Employment Equity Policy.
