Position: SHER ADMINISTRATOR
Department: HEALTH & SAFETY
This role reports directly to the OHS MANAGER
Site Location: DURBAN

Key Performance Areas
Safety & Health
- Manage reporting of IODs (Injuries on Duty) and ensure timely submission to relevant authorities.
- Schedule and track medical examinations (pre-employment, annual and exit) for all employees in
the region. - Maintain contractor safety files and ensure compliance before site access.
- Assist with incident investigations and root cause analysis.
- Ensure compliance with the OHS Act and company safety procedures.
- Perform and support the operations team in hazard identification and risk assessments.
Environment
- Collate data for environmental reporting and sustainability initiatives.
- Manage waste disposal documentation and ensure compliance with environmental regulations.
- Support environmental audits and ISO 14001 compliance.
Administration
- Manage document control for SHER processes and ensure proper archiving.
- Prepare for internal and external audits (ISO 9001, ISO 14001, ISO 45001).
- Compile monthly SHER reports for management.
- Coordinate SHER training sessions and maintain training records.
Qualifications and Experience
- Matric/ Grade 12.
- National Diploma in Safety Management or equivalent.
- ISO 9001/14001/45001 training is an advantage
- 1-2 years in SHEQ administration (preferably in warehouse/logistics)
- Computer literacy: MS Office, SharePoint, Excel, Word
- Knowledge of OHS Act, COIDA
